Situation
Scotiabank had a longstanding credit card loyalty program with rewards redemption. In today’s competitive financial landscape, key stakeholders realized that Scotiabank had to boost its program performance to a new level, while also providing the flexibility to grow and evolve to support future program needs.
Approach
Our data analytics and loyalty solutions team were engaged by Scotiabank to overhaul and re-imagine the program. Today we manage all aspects of the program including operations, technology using our Synapze Loyalty Platform, development and execution of triggered lifecycle and pushed marketing emails, rewards sourcing and fulfillment and member support.
Results
Year over year, we’ve seen points, number of redemptions and website visits all increase considerably, and program engagement continues to grow within Scotia Rewards 650,000 cardmembers. The program has evolved to support new reward partnerships and credit card products launched by Scotiabank, including the Scotia Rewards American Express card portfolio. Today, the entire portfolio of Scotia cards enjoys the highest customer satisfaction rating of any of the big-5 Canadian banks.
